Postpartum Essentials
Are you a new or expecting mom? If so, this post is for YOU! I am sharing my postpartum list that helped so much in my healing journey!
Five months in my PP journey, and I am still healing my body. I want to be transparent about the healing journey because the idea that you should bounce back is just completely insane. Your body was not made to bounce back, but to bounce forward. It’s so important to give yourself grace, rest, and nourishment so that the healing process works with you and not against you.

Traveling with a baby
When Kyle and I first found out we were expecting, we were so overjoyed! We immediately started daydreaming about what life would be like with Dawson. We both agreed to keep living our life, but with a baby. We would do our best to continue our lifestyle, but with Dawson. You can still have a career, a life, and travel when you become a mom. Life doesn’t stop when you become a mom.

Mommy and Me Summer
I am SO excited to experience my first summer with Dawson. Being a mother is everything I ever dreamed of and more. I’m forever grateful for my business, which allows me to be present in these special moments with Dawson. This summer, I am looking for all of the fun mommy and me experiences, so if you’re local, you’ll want to save this post!

Resources that helped me prepare for my homebirth
One topic I get asked a lot about is my experience with homebirth, and I prepared. one of the resources that have helped me understand my body, this whole process, and not have any fears going into labor is the @painfreebirth course that I took. However, I also read a few books that helped me prepare for the most incredible experience of my life.

Postpartum Hair Routine
If you’ve had a baby or are in the thick of the fourth trimester, you know that hair loss during postpartum is real. It’s inevitable and hard to avoid. I knew to expect it and knew it was normal. That didn’t make it any easier!
Baby Items for 0-3 Month Olds
If you’re a new or an expecting mama, you understand the pressure to add all of the things to your registry. There is SO much baby stuff on the market. Social media and big box stores make you feel like you need every little thing. Don’t fall for it. 90% of the items are a waste of money.

Natural Birth Control
Let’s talk about natural birth control. I know the idea can be overwhelming, and many people wonder if it works, but after a decade of using this method, I am here to tell you it does.
The back story…
When I was younger, I had HORRIBLE periods. They caused me to miss my college classes and feel super sick. I couldn’t take it anymore. After talking with my mom, I decided to get on the pill to help with my horrible periods and hormones. She wasn’t thrilled, but I felt I had to do something ASAP!

Nursery Reveal
As soon as we found out we were pregnant; I started planning the nursery. Because we weren’t finding out the gender, I knew I wanted to design a gender-neutral space that was modern and stylish. And when Dawson’s furniture arrived, I was thrilled! Everything was perfect!
I spent hours arranging everything until it felt just right. Although Dawson is still in our room, I love that he has a space just for him!

Postpartum Nutrition
Postpartum healing is no joke, and it’s a lot of work. What you put into your body directly correlates with how your body will recover. You must nourish it. At only four weeks postpartum, I can happily say I am SO proud of my body and how it is healing.

Newborn Must-haves
I honestly can’t believe Dawson has been here for almost a month! These last few weeks have been incredible. I am constantly having to pinch myself. I just can’t believe this is the life I get to live. Our little family feels so complete!

pelvic floor health during pregnancy
I’ve been lifting weights and training for almost a decade and I’ve never once considered how to breathe for a healthy pelvic floor. I guess I never really had to… until now.
