I absolutely love cooking and experimenting in the kitchen. It’s something that helps me to disconnect from the busy world and decompress. I’ve fallen in love with baking sourdough and it’s been one of those things that have helped me find my love for the kitchen again after becoming a mom.
I used to share recipes weekly, so I am getting back into the habit of doing so. This easy recipe is perfect for the summer and would be great for a pool day, vacation snack, or Greek-inspired dinner. My Greek salad is so simple, and the flavors are incredible.
It can be incredibly challenging to change your habits and create a healthier lifestyle. I’ve always said if you give something two weeks, it will become a habit. The habits I’ve changed have truly made me such a happier person. I tend to geek out on all things health and wellness, so I’ve done my research on why these changes are beneficial.
You all have been asking, so I am excited to announce I finally have an Amazon storefront! I get so many DMS about different product links, so now I have space where you can shop all of my favorite items. From baby stuff to baking sourdough, you’ll find all of the things I talk about on Instagram. Take a look here!
So far, these are the categories I am focusing on. Let me know if you have any other you’d like me to add!
Are you a new or expecting mom? If so, this post is for YOU! I am sharing my postpartum list that helped so much in my healing journey!
Five months in my PP journey, and I am still healing my body. I want to be transparent about the healing journey because the idea that you should bounce back is just completely insane. Your body was not made to bounce back, but to bounce forward. It’s so important to give yourself grace, rest, and nourishment so that the healing process works with you and not against you.
When Kyle and I first found out we were expecting, we were so overjoyed! We immediately started daydreaming about what life would be like with Dawson. We both agreed to keep living our life, but with a baby. We would do our best to continue our lifestyle, but with Dawson. You can still have a career, a life, and travel when you become a mom. Life doesn’t stop when you become a mom.
I just got back from a week in the mountains. We spent many days on the lake and it was so good for the soul. Would you believe that I didn’t put heat on my hair all week long? The BEST thing you can do for your hair is to avoid heat as much as possible, especially in the summer! Oftentimes, our hair will become drier in the warmer months due to pools, sun, and other elements. So by avoiding heat, you are protecting your hair and helping it stay healthy.
I am SO excited to experience my first summer with Dawson. Being a mother is everything I ever dreamed of and more. I’m forever grateful for my business, which allows me to be present in these special moments with Dawson. This summer, I am looking for all of the fun mommy and me experiences, so if you’re local, you’ll want to save this post!
Did you know that when you’re stressed, your mineral burn rate goes up? The more stress you experience, the more depleted your minerals are. Minerals are essential for every metabolic function, so we need to be aware of our stress levels.
One topic I get asked a lot about is my experience with homebirth, and I prepared. one of the resources that have helped me understand my body, this whole process, and not have any fears going into labor is the @painfreebirth course that I took. However, I also read a few books that helped me prepare for the most incredible experience of my life.
I’ve said it once, and I’ll say it again. Gelatin is a superfood! It has SO many health benefits such as: thyroid support. contain anti-inflammatory amino acids, helps to improve digestion, supports detoxification, improves skin health, nourishes your adrenals, loaded with minerals, supports a healthy gut… and the list goes on!
Can you believe it’s basically summer?! I seriously feel like I just had Dawson, yet he is about to be four months! While I enjoy how alert he is becoming and how every day is an adventure, I just wish time would slow down! Time is FLYING.
There’s no denying the MANY health benefits of bone broth. Bone broth can help with your skin health, gut health, immune system, collagen production, and so much more. Some people aren’t a fan of the taste, so there are many ways to sneak it into your diet. Some ways I like to sneak it into my diet are by adding it to my tomato sauce, cooking my grains with it instead of water, preparing soup with bone broth, and my favorite: HOT CHOCOLATE!
If you’ve had a baby or are in the thick of the fourth trimester, you know that hair loss during postpartum is real. It’s inevitable and hard to avoid. I knew to expect it and knew it was normal. That didn’t make it any easier!
If you’re a new or an expecting mama, you understand the pressure to add all of the things to your registry. There is SO much baby stuff on the market. Social media and big box stores make you feel like you need every little thing. Don’t fall for it. 90% of the items are a waste of money.
